The Waukegan Park District will be offering the Before & After School Experience (B.A.S.E.) on weekdays from Monday, August 14, 2023 to Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at the Belvidere Recreation Center, located at 412 S. Lewis Avenue in Corrine J. Rose Park. Open to students from kindergarten to fifth grade, the unique day care program will engage students in safe and enriching activities, including arts, crafts, games, sports, and more. Students will also have time to complete their homework assignments.

Program requires a completed Waukegan Park District B.A.S.E. application packet and Waukegan Public Schools Alternate Transportation Application submitted to Julia Sanchez at jrsanchez@waukeganparks.org and requires at least a 48-hour review period in order to arrange busing for your child. There is a $30 nonrefundable application fee for each participant, once the participant has been approved. There can be up to a two-week waiting period from the receipt of the application packet to the start date of any participant.
