Memorial Programs

The Waukegan Park District’s Memorial Program offers the community the opportunity to remember loved ones, accomplishments, and achievements in a timeless and unique way in local parks. Choose from one of our many different tree options, brick pavers, or a bench. For more information, contact Tim Girmscheid at tgirmscheid@waukeganparks.org or (847) 360-4755.

Tree of Life Program

The Waukegan Park District is recognizing National Crime Victims’ Rights Week with the Tree of Life Program, funded by a grant from the Crime Victims’ Service Fund of the Nineteenth Judicial Circuit Court. The program is an opportunity for families and friends to honor an individual who was a victim of crime with a tree and a plaque in a local park.

Tree & Bench Program

The memorial bench is a bench made from wrought iron that will be placed at the park of your choice. The placement of the bench will be coordinated with the Parks Department to ensure your satisfaction.

Memorial Paver Program

The memorial brick paver is 4” x 8” with an engraved personalized message. The placement of your brick will be coordinated with the Parks Department to ensure your satisfaction.
