Waukegan’s Greg Petry SportsPark (also known as the SportsPark) is an award-winning, state-of-the-art sports complex. Enjoy Illinois named us “the top sports complex in Northern Illinois” and “a perfect place to host tournaments and events.” The SportsPark features 14 soccer fields (one championship synthetic field), 4 softball fields, a 685-space parking lot, maintenance facility, concession complex, and a water “sprayground”, approximately 4 miles of pathways and walking trails, 16.5 acres of native plantings, and bioswales and rain gardens to provide additional beauty and water quality treatment.

Programs at the SportsPark

Our sports programs provide a safe and enjoyable athletic experience while stressing skill development and team for individuals of all ages. We strongly emphasize sportsmanship and fair play to help grow athletes in our community. Participants can register at the Belvidere Recreation Center, Field House Sports, Fitness & Aquatics Center, Jack Benny Center for the Arts, or online.
