Waukegan Park District Celebrates Halloween

Celebrate Halloween with the Waukegan Park District! We will be offering spooktacular virtual and in-person programs and events for the community.

2021 Halloween Trick or Treat Trail

The Waukegan Park District invites families to celebrate Halloween at the 2021 Halloween Trick or Treat Trail on Saturday, October 30 from 1pm to 3pm at Bowen Park, located at 1800 N. Sheridan Road. The event will feature an enchanted trail with professionally costumed characters. Children will receive a treat bag at the end of the trail, while supplies last. The 2021 Halloween Trick or Treat Trail is free and pre-registration is not required to attend.

Looking to decorate the outside of your home with Halloween decorations? Why not make your own? You will learn how to make a ghost, a tombstone, and other fun items to scare trick-or-treaters. Registration is per person, all craft materials provided.

As the sun sets over the Wisconsin woods, a rowdy band of scouts gather for the nightly meeting of the Silly Scary Stories Club. Audiences will assist the storytellers as they strive to outdo their friends and weave the creepiest yarn around the campfire. But which tale will be the scariest: the kid who threw trash on the ground, the bodybuilders who wasted food, or the royal badger and his selfish king? “Reduce, reuse, and recycle” are the lessons at the heart of this family-friendly variety show.
