Regulating Ordinances & Union Contract

The Waukegan Park District operates under statutory law, the State of Illinois Park District Code, which directly governs the powers, duties and purposes relating to park districts throughout Illinois with less than 500,000 residents. In addition to the Park District Code, the elected Board of Commissioners is responsible for enacting legislation/ordinances that specifically impact the local park district.
