Green Peeps

Going green is an important part of society. Thankfully, humans have begun to make some progress in reducing, reusing, and recycling. For children ages 4 and up, we are offering a “Parent and Me” program. One opportunity to learn with parents and spark interest in the environment is being able to implement art and innovation in the ecology field. With activities that can stick to minds, games, and fun facts, children will be able to be more aware of what items to recycle and what it means to go green. For more information, contact Maria at (847) 360-4708 or mcontreras@waukeganparks.org.

There are many plastics that are hard to recycle. Learn about recycling and reducing the use of items. See the creative things you can do with those items. Being able to find different ways to make crafts out of recycling materials makes for creative thinking, unique imagination, and eco-awareness. After we make the bottle cap stamps, let’s create art.Date: Saturday, October 10
