Waukegan Symphony Orchestra presents Young People’s Family Concert: Animals in the Forest

The Waukegan Symphony Orchestra presents Young People’s Family Concert: Animals in the Forest on Sunday, October 1, 2023 from 4pm to 6pm at the Orlin D. Trapp Auditorium, located at 2325 Brookside Avenue in Waukegan High School’s Brookside Campus.

The WSO brings back its award-winning “Peter and the Wolf” that includes the story narrated in both English and Spanish as well as visual art being created for the audience to enjoy by the District’s Arts Park Resident Artist.
Experience the beauty of Mozart’s Concerto for Flute and Harp with guest soloists Jordan Thomas and Timothy Hagen. As part of this piece, the WSO is collaborating with Sharing Our Shore-Waukegan to show a movie of the four piping plovers that were at Waukegan Beach that volunteer monitors were keeping an eye on this summer.
While the fingers are flying in Flight of the Bumblebee, the audience will watch and learn about the Waukegan Park Foundation’s bee pollinator initiative.
