Throughout these unprecedented times, the health and safety of our community, participants, and staff remain our top priority. Remember to wash your hands, wear a mask, and watch your distance to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our community.
On Friday, August 7, the Center for Disease Control updated their “Considerations for Wearing Masks“. The CDC has now taken the stance that masks with exhalation valves do not protect others because they allow droplets to be released through the valve. Therefore, the CDC does not recommend using masks for source control if they have an exhalation valve or vent. We are encouraging individuals visiting the Waukegan Park District to not to use this style mask.
