Waukegan Park District

Local businesses and organizations are invited to participate in this community tradition with a parade entry. To participate in the parade, businesses and organizations must submit a completed application by Friday, June 2, 2023. Businesses and non-political organizations can participate for free. However, political organizations must pay a $100 fee to participate. Local businesses and organizations can also become sponsors of the parade.

*Political Candidates One application per Political candidate, no joint applications are allowed. • A $100 fee is required per political candidate. Checks should be payable to the Waukegan Park District. **Special Performance Units **The requested Payment for Service is not guaranteed. • There will be an e-mail sent that you will need to respond to verify the amount to be paid. • Upon verification, you will need to submit a W-9, Certificate of Insurance, and any other requested paperwork. • Checks will be mailed the week after the parade, providing all paperwork was completed more than two (2) weeks in advance and the Unit did not cause a breach of contract.

***Animals: Please be kind to others in the parade. If you have any type of animal as part of your unit, make sure to bring water for them and clean up behind them in the lineup area, on the parade route, and at the end of the parade route. This is greatly appreciated by all other Parade Units following yours, the Waukegan Park District, and the City of Waukegan. A Clean-up person is required on the day of the event.
