The Waukegan Park District manages 53 properties including two golf courses, neighborhood and community parks and four recreational facilities. The District encompassing 742 acres of land and serves the culturally-diverse community of Waukegan. Park amenities include a skate park, dog exercise areas, BMX track, formal garden, disc golf course, picnic pavilions, interpretive areas, basketball courts, baseball and softball fields, 34 playgrounds, five outdoor fitness exercise areas, splash pads including the Corrine J. Rose Park SplashZone, tennis courts, pickleball courts, soccer fields, hiking/jogging/walking paths and a physical fitness course.
